Far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich calls on the IDF to take harsh action against the Palestinians after a deadly clash between Palestinians and settlers in the West Bank.

“We cannot normalize the erosion of deterrence and our enemies raising their heads in recent weeks against the settlement pioneers and the farms. I demand that the IDF take strong action against the murderous village and its surroundings and restore governance and deterrence,” Smotrich says in post on X.

At least 4 Palestinians and one Israeli were killed and eight others injured in the incident.

“The heroic farm workers and settlement pioneers are the protective wall of the State of Israel. We will continue to strengthen and honor them for their steadfast stand for our existence in the Land of Israel against Arab terrorism,” Smotrich says.
