Prosecutors are expected to indict a 15-year-old from northern Israel on terror charges, after he allegedly swore allegiance to the Islamic State (ISIS) group and began planning a terror attack.

The minor was arrested several weeks ago by police, operating off intelligence provided by the Shin Bet that indicated he had been in contact with ISIS affiliates abroad. Detailed instructions for preparing an explosive belt were found in his possession, police say.

According to police, the teen swore fealty to ISIS, expressed sympathy for past terror attacks against Israel, and took “practical steps” to plan his own.

Investigators have completed their investigation into the minor, and state prosecutors will file charges against him later today, police add.
