US backs envoy’s criticism of flaccid French antisemitism fight
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe United States is refusing to back down on its ambassador’s allegations that ally France is not doing enough to combat antisemitism, after Paris summoned him.
“We stand by his comments,” State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott says of Ambassador Charles Kushner, the father-in-law of President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka.
“Ambassador Kushner is our US government representative in France and is doing a great job advancing our national interests in that role,” Pigott says.
