An elderly woman in Petah Tikvah was mortally wounded after her neighbor struck her head with an ax. A medical team that arrived at the scene rushed the 78-year-old woman to the nearby Beilinson Hospital for emergency treatment.
The neighbor attacked the elderly woman after she failed to pay him NIS 5 ($1.45) for cleaning her stairway, the woman’s son told the Walla news site.
Police arrested the neighbor, who apparently suffered from mental illness.
