WASHINGTON — Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump served notice to his GOP White House rivals at a New Year’s Eve celebration that “I have a very big lead and I intend to keep it.”
Trump, gathered with his family in Palm Beach, Florida, said he was determined to “make America great again.”
Interviewed by Fox News Channel, Trump said he would be Hillary Clinton’s “worst nightmare” if she won the Democratic primary and became his opponent.
As president, he’d “make a lot of amends for things that have been done wrong,” he added.
The billionaire real estate mogul warned Clinton “won’t do the job” if elected. He wants to win the White House “not because I want the job but because I want to do something great for the country and great for the people,” he said.
