At least one Ebola case has been confirmed in a fourth province in the Democratic Republic of Congo, meaning the country’s entire northeast is now affected by the deadly outbreak, the national laboratory and a health source say.
The case was detected in Haut-Uele, near the borders with South Sudan and the Central African Republic, involving a person who had travelled from Bunia, in neighboring Ituri province — the outbreak’s epicentre.
