‘Amir Khoury, hero of Israel’: Buses leave Bnei Brak to funeral of cop killed in attack

Buses are taking people from Bnei Brak to Nazareth, where Amir Khoury, an Arab Christian officer killed in an attack in the ultra-Orthodox city, is being laid to rest.

One of the buses in Bnei Brak displays a message: “Amir Khoury, hero of Israel.”

Channel 13 news says hundreds of ultra-Orthodox Jews are heading to the funeral.

Khoury, 32, was part of a team of two motorcycle officers who caught up with the gunman who had already killed four people, and shot him dead, ending the deadly shooting spree.
