Distancing rules disregarded at COVID-19 vaccine event attended by Netanyahu

Coronavirus distancing rules were disregarded by many of the participants in today’s ceremony — attended by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Health Minister Yuli Edelstein and Defense Minister Benny Gantz — marking the start of the human trials for an Israeli COVID-19 vaccine, Channel 12 reports.

The network publishes footage showing that during the ceremony at Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan, dozens of participants did not keep their distance from one another and didn’t adhere to the rule limiting outdoor gatherings to 20 people.

Only after a journalist uses his question to point out the violations do the organizers ask people to keep their distance and adhere to the rules.
