Einav Zangauker: PM’s ‘hands will be stained by blood’ if hostages murdered during Gaza takeover

Einav Zangauker, whose son Matan is held hostage in Gaza, calls on Israelis to launch a general strike to pressure the government into reaching a deal with Hamas to end the war and secure the release of all the captives.

“Last Thursday, the cabinet decided the fate of the hostages. The living will be murdered, and the dead will disappear forever,” Zangauker says at a weekly press conference in Tel Aviv.

“The quotes from that meeting prove that this is not a security cabinet, this is a cabinet of death. This measure has no support from the public,” she says.

“From here, we turn to the people of Israel,” she says. “Stop the country and its economy,” she appeals, calling on the country to go on a general strike.

“I will finish with a direct call to the prime minister: If you conquer parts of Gaza and the hostages are murdered, we will pursue you. Your hands will be stained by the blood of the kidnapped,” she says.
