Defense Minister Yoav Gallant is holding an assessment now with senior military and defense officials at his office in Tel Aviv.

The meeting comes following Israel’s airstrikes against Palestinian Islamic Jihad targets in the Gaza Strip, as part of an operation dubbed Shield and Arrow.

Participating in the meeting are IDF chief Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, Mossad head David Barnea, Shin Bet head Ronen Bar, head of the IDF’s Operations Directorate Maj. Gen. Oded Basiuk, head of Military Intelligence Maj. Gen Aharon Haliva, the officer in charge of Iran affairs Maj. Gen. Tal Kelma, the military’s liaison to the Palestinians Maj. Gen. Ghassan Alian, and other officials.
