Israel Defense Forces chief Aviv Kohavi warns members of the high-level security cabinet that the wave of terror in Israel may spread and target Israelis and Jews abroad, Channel 13 news reports.

“There is a fear that the imitation effect will lead to attempts to harm Israeli and Jewish targets around the world,” Kohavi is cited by the network as saying yesterday, referring to the phenomenon of attacks apparently fueling more attacks.

The network says the Mossad spy agency and Shin Bet security agency will need to make special preparations to protect Israelis abroad.
