Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says he will likely meet with US envoy Steve Witkoff in Geneva, Switzerland, on Thursday, noting that there is still “a good chance” of a diplomatic solution on Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.
Araghchi makes the comments during an interview on CBS News’ “Face the Nation” as US President Donald Trump considers strikes on Iran.
Earlier Axios reported that US negotiators are ready to hold another round of talks with Iran on Friday in Geneva if they receive a detailed Iranian proposal for a nuclear deal in the next 48 hours, citing a senior US official.
