Many haredim expected at funeral of Arab cop killed responding to Bnei Brak attack
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA Haredi delegation from the city of Bnei Brak is expected to attend the funeral of Amir Khoury, the policeman who was killed while responding to Tuesday’s deadly terrorist shooting in the city.
An organizer told Channel 12 that hundreds of people had expressed interest in coming to pay respects to the cop, whose actions are thought to have potentially saved many lives.
Khoury, an Arab Israeli policeman from Nof Hagalil, was among the first cops to reach the scene of the deadly attack that claimed the lives of four other people. He was shot and killed in a gun battle with the terrorist, who was also killed.
His funeral will take place at Nof Hagalil at 5 p.m. today.
