Noa Kirel takes the stage at the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool with her song “Unicorn.”

The popular Israeli singer — performing in the number 9 spot — appears at the start inside a large optical illusion light box before walking down to perform with a large troupe of dancers, to raucous applause in the arena.

The song was co-written by Kirel, Doron Medalie, Yinon Yahel and May Sfadia.

Kirel’s Eurovision “postcard,” which introduces each contestant, was filmed at Masada, and shows the singer posing and dancing atop the historical landmark.

For the first time, viewers around the world can vote in the Eurovision, even if they are not in competing countries, via www.esc.vote (voting costs money).
