PM visits school in northern town on 1st day of academic year

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visits children on their first day of school at the Begin school in the northern town of Nof Hagalil, accompanied by Education Minister Yoav Kisch, according to a statement from his office.
Netanyahu wishes first-grade students “a successful and fruitful school year.”
Netanyahu and Kisch are also joined by the town’s mayor, Ronen Plot, and Teachers’ Union Secretary-General Yaffa Ben-David, the statement adds.
The premier also paid tribute at a memorial for Staff Sgt. Ilya Senkin, a Givati Brigade soldier from Nof Hagalil killed in Gaza, and met with his family, the Prime Minister’s Office adds.
