Qatar on Israeli strikes in Gaza: ‘A new episode in the series of horrific occupation crimes’

Qatar joins in the denunciations of Israel over the overnight strikes on three senior Palestinian Islamic Jihad members in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement, the Qatari foreign ministry calls the attacks “a new episode in the series of horrific occupation crimes against the defenseless Palestinian people, especially women and children.”

Doha also warns “of the fading chances of peace and the widening of the cycle of violence due to the provocative Israeli escalation,” while urging the international community “to move urgently to provide the necessary protection for the Palestinian people and to compel Israel to stop its flagrant violations of international law.”
