Surviving Iranian nuclear scientists in hiding; Israeli experts call them ‘dead men walking’ — report

Iran’s remaining nuclear scientists have been sent into hiding after dozens were killed by Israel during its 12-day operation against Tehran’s nuclear and ballistic missiles program in June, The Telegraph reports.
The British daily says that over 15 of the surviving researchers, among 100 on an Israeli list, are no longer living in their main homes or lecturing at universities amid fear of renewed Israeli strikes, citing a senior Iranian official.
They have been moved to secure villas in Tehran and along the country’s northern coast with their families, while those teaching at universities were “replaced with people who have no connection with the nuclear program,” the official says.
Israeli experts cited by The Telegraph say that researchers ready to take over the work of assassinated scientists are “dead men walking” despite the increased security.
