Tel Aviv highway reopens after pro-hostage deal protesters blocked it; 3 arrested; rally disperses

Tel Aviv’s Ayalon Highway reopens in both directions after police, including eight mounted officers, push anti-government, pro-hostage deal protesters back onto Hashalom Road and from there onto the sidewalk on Kaplan Street. A water cannon is brought to the scene but is not used.
Protesters face off for another 20 minutes or so with cops who keep them from going back down onto the road.
The demonstration then disperses.
Three protesters were arrested, according to the Detainee Protests Legal Defense Front, a group of lawyers offering pro bono representation to people detained at anti-government protests.
