Police say two Border Police officers have been lightly hurt in a suspected ramming in the West Bank town of Silat al-Harithiya.

According to police, a vehicle accelerated toward troops in an armored vehicle at high speed and collided with it, injuring the two.

The two officers were taken for further medical treatment at their base, police say.

The driver of the vehicle has been arrested, and he has been taken for further questioning.

The incident comes amid clashes in the area, as troops enter the town to demolish the home of a suspect charged in a deadly shooting attack near Homesh last December, according to Palestinian media reports.
