Family, friends of hostage run Tel Aviv race in his honor
Brother of Evyatar David, kidnapped from Supernova on October 7, says though he ‘hates running…we’re doing everything we can to tell your story and bring you home’

As runners lined up Wednesday evening for the annual Tel Aviv Night Run, dozens of runners gathered at the starting point of the ten-kilometer race wore shirts emblazoned with the visage of hostage Evyatar David.
“I know you hate running,” said Ilay David, speaking of his brother, “but this is to raise awareness, we’re doing everything we can to tell your story and bring you home.”
Some 100 runners registered for the portion of the race dedicated to Evyatar David, as part of the race in Tel Aviv. Their white shirts included a photo of his face and text reading ‘Until Evyatar is home.”
David is known for his love of music and dancing, the same passions that brought him to the Supernova music festival, where he was taken hostage by Hamas terrorists on October 7.
He attended the desert rave with four friends, two of whom were killed and another who was taken hostage. Only one of them survived and returned home.
Since he was abducted, his family and friends have also organized weekly dance and jam sessions at Tel Aviv’s Hostages Square, in an effort to keep raising awareness of him.
David’s family identified him as a hostage after seeing him in a Hamas photo on Telegram and the army later confirmed that he was kidnapped.
