Elite soldiers suspended for shooting camel

Two elite IDF soldiers allegedly shot a camel as they were driving near the Dead Sea two weeks ago and are under investigation for the incident, Ynet reports.

A video of the incident taken by one of the soldiers led to their arrest. The driver of the vehicle can be seen drawing his sidearm and firing a round at a passing camel.

The two reportedly admitted to the charges of discharging the weapon and expressed contrition, but they were suspended from their unit until the end of the investigation.
