Lebanese news agency confirms death of protester near Israeli border

The Lebanese National News Agency confirms the death of a Lebanese man, reportedly from Israeli gunfire, near the Blue Line dividing Lebanon from Israel.

After the IDF said its tanks fired at Lebanese protesters who crossed the Israeli border fence, initial reports in Lebanon claimed one of the protesters also sustained a gunshot wound while fleeing and died of his wounds.

The reports identify the victim as Mohammad Tahan from the southern Lebanese village of Adlun.
