NGO wants Kirshenbaum removed from position

The Movement for Quality Government in Israel appeals to the High Court of Justice to instruct the interior minister, the prime minister, and the Knesset to bar deputy interior minister Faina Kirshenbaum (Yisrael Beytenu) from serving in the Knesset and the government.

The NGO asks the court to issue a conditional order preventing Kirshenbaum from participating in government meetings or using her authorities as deputy interior minister. The group filed the petition after Kirshnbaum says she will exercise her right to remain silent during her interrogation by the police over allegations of corruption.
