PM at Herzliya conference recounts ‘threats, challenges and opportunities’

Benjamin Netanyahu is speaking at the Herzliya Conference as the keynote address for the closing of the major policy confab.

He begins by saying the region is full of “threats and challenges” but also affords opportunities.

Netanyahu recounts meeting with Google executive Eric Schmidt, quoting Schmidt as calling the country a “world digital powerhouse.”

“He said to me, There is no place like Israel anywhere in the world and a great thing is happening here,” says the prime minister.
