Police say a man suspected of sharing a fake video claiming to show a hostage rescue was released to house arrest for the next five days, as his case is handed over to prosecutors.
The IDF repeatedly denied rumors in recent days about an operation to free captives held in Gaza.
The TikToker, Adam Salem, who has 52,000 followers, claimed to reveal a “historic” operation in his videos.
His phone was confiscated and the social media app was blocked on his phone.
