Police said defying High Court on Jerusalem Day parade
The police are defying a High Court order to halt entry through the Damascus Gate at 6:15 p.m. for participants in the annual right-wing Jerusalem Day march, Channel 10 says.
The channel’s Jerusalem correspondent, Omri Maniv, tweets an image he says is from 6:20 p.m., which apparently shows hundreds of marchers still filing through the gate.
The court earlier today rejected a petition to prevent the march passing through the Muslim Quarter of the Old City, but placed certain restrictions on the marchers, including a time limit for entry via the Damascus Gate.
