Shin Bet arrests hardline Muslim cleric in northern town leading to clashes with locals

Shin Bet and other security forces has arrested the deputy head of the Northern Branch of the Islamic Movement in Israel, Sheikh Kamal Khatib, in the town of Kafr Kanna.

The arrest has sparked major clashes in the town between locals and Israeli officers carrying out the arrest.

A 23-year-old protester has been shot, sustaining moderate to serious wounds.
