Unspecified ‘unusual’ incident in Gaza said to have happened on Saturday

Channel 12 news reports of a recent “disturbing nighttime incident” in the Gaza Strip, though the network does not actually provide any details as to what occurred.

The network’s southern Israel analyst, Almog Boker, claims that security officials in communities near the Gaza border were not updated in real-time regarding what was happening in the Strip during the “suspected unusual incident.”

When residents heard sounds of gunfire, security officials questioned the IDF, which told them that it was warning shots by troops, according to Channel 12.

The network claims that the Israeli Air Force was not updated on the incident until much later.

However, Boker admits in his report that “there was no threat to the communities, even those adjacent to the border.”

In response, the IDF says that “on Saturday night, unusual activity by several Hamas operatives was identified, and as a result, an alert was raised, and all required measures were taken.”
