Woman shot dead, 2 men injured in north, in suspected criminal dispute
Shots fired at home of woman in village of Bi’ina, killing her and injuring her husband; later, another man arrives at hospital with gunshot wounds

A 58-year-old woman died Sunday night after she was shot in the northern village of Bi’ina, police said in a statement.
Police said that shots were fired toward the woman’s house, gravely wounding her and lightly injuring her 62-year-old husband.
The woman was brought in critical condition to the Galilee Medical Center, where she succumbed to her wounds.
Later in the evening a 37-year-old man from the nearby town of Deir al-Asad arrived at the hospital with gunshot wounds. He was said to be in moderate condition.
Police said the shooting was part of a dispute between criminal factions and they have launched an investigation and collected evidence at the scene.
There was no immediate word of any arrests.
According to a tally by the Aman Center for Combating Violence in Arab Society, the woman was the 76th Arab Israeli murder victim since the start of the year, the Walla news site reported.
The past few years have seen a rise in killings and gun crime in Arab Israeli communities. Arab leaders say police largely ignore the violence, which includes family feuds, mafia turf wars, and violence against women.
A number of demonstrations and large rallies have been held to protest what Arab Israelis say is a failure to adequately deal with the wave of criminal violence within the community.
