An Acre man returned home on Tuesday morning to find his teenage daughter sprawled on the ground outside their home after apparently falling to her death as she was hanging laundry.

The father, who had worked an overnight shift, lifted his 16-year-old daughter and carried her into the lobby of their building in the northern port city, woke up his wife and then called for an ambulance.

Magen David Adom paramedics found the girl unconscious, not breathing and without a pulse. They tried to revive her but were forced to declare her dead at the scene.

The girl apparently lost her balance as she tried to hang laundry on a suspended rack outside a window of the family’s home on the third floor of a building on Mordechai Anielewicz Street.

Police are investigating the death, but said there is no evidence of a crime.
