Two Palestinians were injured Friday by IDF fire east of the Jabaliya refugee camp near the northern border between Israel and the Gaza Strip, Palestinian media reported.

The two suffered leg wounds and were taken to Shifa Hospital in Gaza City for treatment, according to Gaza medical sources.

The IDF was investigating the reports, according to Israel Radio.

Incidents of this kind have become an almost weekly occurrence since the end of November’s Operation Pillar of Defense. Gaza officials claimed last month that since the ceasefire took effect, Israeli soldiers have killed three Palestinians and wounded more than 40 in border incidents.
