IDF soldier killed in West Bank road accident

Two more soldiers injured as military jeep overturns in incident that does not appear related to ongoing violence

An active-duty IDF soldier, Yasser Jumis, 42, from Zarzir, was killed on Friday afternoon in an apparent motor vehicle accident in the West Bank.

According to officials, the soldier’s jeep overturned on the road between the settlements of Shavey Shomron and Kedumim.

Two other soldiers were in the vehicle. One was severely injured and the other lightly hurt. Both were evacuated to Beilinson Hospital.

Police were investigating the cause of the accident.
