The Islamic State executed ten Iraqi physicians who allegedly refused to treat members of the terrorist group.
Media images depicting the execution were traced to the Hammam al-Alil area of northern Iraq, 15 kilometers (9 miles) south of the IS-controlled Iraqi city of Mosul, according to a report by the Daily Mail. The men were reportedly executed after several injured Islamic State fighters requiring medical treatment were refused by the doctors.
The physicians were later dragged to the surrounding desert and murdered by three Islamic State gunmen wielding pistols, according to the report.
The graphic killing echoes previous executions carried out by the terrorist group known for releasing countless videos featuring the murder of Westerners, Christians, Kurds, and both Shiite and Sunni Muslims throughout Iraq and Syria.

Last week, the Islamic State reportedly executed 60 Sunni tribal militiamen in Iraq’s Anbar province.
Members of the al-Karableh, Albu Ubaid, Albu Mahal and Albu Salman tribes were executed. They were accused of cooperating with Iraqi government forces against the Sunni extremist group.
Iraqi security forces, backed by allied-Sunni tribesmen and Iranian-supported Shiite militia groups, have made great gains against the Islamic State, pushing them out of a swath of Iraqi towns and villages, including Saddam Hussein’s hometown of Tikrit.
US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter trumpeted the successes of the Iraqi army in recent weeks, but noted that the presence of Iranian military advisers was “concerning.”
“[This] is something that is concerning to us in particular because the sectarian danger in Iraq is the principal thing that can unravel the campaign against ISIS,” Carter said on Friday, using another name for the Islamic State
The US is also leading a coalition of forces in an air campaign against IS, and Carter emphasized that the battle against the group was not only led by Iran.
“There are actually several important battles going on, in some of which the Iranians play no role at all,” Carter said.
