A man was killed and two people were injured early Tuesday morning in a supermarket in the Galilee Arab town of Tamra, after an unidentified gunman shot at the store.
Kir Diab, 60, was killed when the shop, which was open, was sprayed with gunfire. Locals believe the gunfire targeted the store and was not directed at the victim.
A man, 30, and a teenager, 15, were lightly injured in the attack as well.
The perpetrators are still at large.
Following the attack, over 100 of the town’s residents gathered beside the store in a show of solidarity for the victim.

One resident told the Ynet news site that a single shooter drove past on a motorcycle and shot at the supermarket in an indiscriminate fashion.
“We know that the victim was completely unconnected” to the attacker, another resident said.
“He was in the store at the time of the shooting and was hit accidentally. It’s too bad that violence in [Arab society] is increasing and harming innocents. The time has come to fight against crime. These things can’t pass by in silence,” he added.
Police launched an investigation into the killing and said in a statement that “the circumstances behind the incident are being examined.”
