Ohio man arrested for anti-Semitic vandalism
Akron resident, 56, accused of spray-painting hateful messages at Jewish cemetery
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleNEW YORK (JTA) — An Ohio man was arrested for allegedly spray-painting anti-Semitic comments on the side of a mausoleum in his state.
Slavko Mazibrada, 56, of Akron, is accused of vandalizing Hillside Memorial Park in Springfield Township on the morning of Aug. 2.
According to Springfield Township police, he wrote “GO HOME JEWS EVL Z” and “DEAD JEWS” in black spray paint on the mausoleum, as well as three cemetery statues.
Mazibrada faces a fifth-degree felony charge of vandalism in light of the $7,000 in damage caused by the vandalism. He was taken to Summit County Jail.
