The incident occurred shortly after a Molotov cocktail was thrown at an Israeli bus passing near the Israeli settlement of Tekoa. No injuries or damage were reported in the attack. IDF soldiers searched the area for the perpetrators of the assault.
According to the Palestinian news agency, 17-year-old Ahmad Riyad Sabbah was shot during clashes between Israeli soldiers and Palestinians in the village of Tuqu, adjacent to the similarly named settlement. After receiving first aid, he was taken to a local hospital and was in stable condition.
An IDF spokesperson said the incident was under investigation.
