Security forces were investigating a suspected shooting attack Wednesday evening in the West Bank settlement of Psagot, near Ramallah.
According to preliminary reports, residents heard gunfire, and a bullet hole was discovered in the wall of one house. No injuries were reported in the incident.
The IDF said the shots may have been fired from an automatic weapon.
Local security assessed that the gunfire originated from Ramallah.
“Security personnel are currently searching the vicinity for the shooters,” said the IDF in a statement.
In the meantime residents were instructed to remain in their homes and lock their doors and windows.
