Cause of accident under investigation
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA Turkish fighter jet on Sunday crashed near the Syrian border, Hurriyet Daily News reported. The pilot reportedly ejected from the aircraft before it crashed into a mountain in southern Turkey.
There was no immediate indication of the cause of the accident.
Last summer, Syria shot down a Turkish Air Force reconnaissance jet that was patrolling along the border between the two countries. The two pilots of the F-4 were killed and the wreckage crashed into the Mediterranean Sea.
