Two Netanya women die in apparent stabbings

Two women in Netanya died of stab wounds on Wednesday in two separate suspected murders.

A 59-year-old Netanya woman was found stabbed to death in her apartment.

Magen David Adom paramedics arrived at the woman’s home and found multiple stab wounds all over her body. They pronounced her dead at the scene.

Her husband, 61, was found by her side. Police took him in for questioning.

In a separate incident in the same city, an 75-year-old woman was also suspected of being stabbed to death by her husband.

The woman’s husband, 83, confessed to the deed, but claimed that he acted in self-defense because his wife was trying to kill him, according to Ynet.

Israel Radio reported that the two quarreled over monetary matters before the alleged murder.

Police arrested the man on suspicion of murder and opened an investigation.
