An 80-year-old Israeli woman was killed in a hit-and-run car ramming in the southern city of Arad late Saturday.
Magen David Adom medics said she suffered multiple wounds after being hit by the car in the city’s Ben Yair Street.
She was evacuated to Beersheba’s Soroka Medical Center, where doctors pronounced her dead.
Negev District Police opened an investigation into the incident, saying the driver had fled the scene after hitting the woman.
There was no immediate indication that the deadly hit-and-run may be part of a recent wave of Palestinian terror attacks that included multiple car-rammings of Israeli civilians and security personnel.
