The decomposing cadaver of a man was found on Saturday in a Petah Tikva apartment after neighbors complained of a vile stench coming out of the home.
Fire and Rescue Service teams were dispatched, and found the body in the apartment. A woman, the wife of the man whose remains were found, was also in the house, safe and in good health.
Police officers arriving at the scene said there was no suspicion of foul play and they were examining the circumstances of the case.
The firefighters used a crane to enter the house.
The ages of the wife and her late husband were not specified.
