A four-year-old boy died after he was hit by a truck Wednesday in the Jabel Mukaber neighborhood of East Jerusalem.

Medics and emergency personnel responding to the incident on Al-Adil Street found the boy with multiple injuries and no vital signs. They were forced to declare him dead at the scene.

A Magen David Adom paramedic described the scene.

“When I arrived, I saw the boy trapped under the truck. Together with other MDA personnel who arrived at the scene, we managed to remove him, but he was unconscious,” he said. “We carried out several medical examinations but he suffered from a severe multi-system injury.”
