Fake ‘Wolf Blitzer’ accepts fake Fake News award on Jimmy Kimmel
In honor of President Donald Trump’s much-hyped awards on Wednesday, the late-night host’s parents drop in to play the ‘winners’
A clearly fake Wolf Blitzer showed up on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” via satellite to accept the “Most Dishonest and Corrupt Media Award” on behalf of CNN on Wednesday.
“Blitzer,” played by Kimmel’s father, accepted his award, a blurred out trophy of a child’s fist giving a middle finger, with grace and humility.
“I have so many people to acknowledge,” said the pretend CNN lead political anchor.
“First I want to thank our fake news writers, who tirelessly made up brilliant bullshit all year long. I want to thank our special effects team who made it look like the president threw paper towels at Puerto Ricans.”
Rachel Maddow, played by Kimmel’s mother, popped by with banana mini-muffins to bring “Blitzer” home and “howl at the wolves.”
The Kimmel family schtick played off of President Donald Trump’s announcement earlier this month that he would be giving out “Fake News Awards” on January 17, an event he claimed was already of great “interest” and “importance.”
The Fake News Awards, those going to the most corrupt & biased of the Mainstream Media, will be presented to the losers on Wednesday, January 17th, rather than this coming Monday. The interest in, and importance of, these awards is far greater than anyone could have anticipated!

But for all the alleged anticipation, the awards ceremony turned out to be a non-event. Late Wednesday, Trump tweeted a link to an 11-point “listicle” on the Republican Party’s website (which crashed minutes after the big unveiling).

In Trump’s “actual” “Fake News” awards, CNN came in third behind The New York Times and ABC News.
The New York Times’ Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman nabbed the top reporting prize for predicting “the economy would never recover” from the US president’s election.
On the flip side, according to the document posted on GOP.com, among the 10 Trump achievements was creating 2 million jobs and “over $8 trillion in wealth.” Additionally, listed at number 7, is “President Trump followed through on his promise to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Israel and instructed the State Department to begin to relocate the Embassy.”
“While the media spent 90% of the time focused on negative coverage or fake news, the President has been getting results,” concluded the GOP document.
