When Grammy Award-winning Alanis Morrisette performs in Israel on July 30 as part of her world tour, she’ll be joined by Israeli singer Ninet Tayeb, who will open for her at Rishon’s Live Park.

“I’m very excited we were chosen to be the opening act for Alanis Morissette and it’s definitely a reason for celebration,” said Tayeb, who also acts and currently appears in the YES television drama “When Heroes Fly.”

Tayeb released her most recent album, “Paper Parachute,” in 2017, and has twice won Israel’s Favorite Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards.

She has one album in English, “Sympathetic Nervous System,” and has worked closely with artists such as Steven Wilson, Gary Lucas, Cyndi Lauper, The Jesus and Mary Chain, and The Dead Daisies.

Tayeb, who currently lives in Los Angeles, will perform throughout Israel during the preceding week in a round of acoustic appearances, including at Zappa Kerem Barkan on July 24, Darma Bar on July 26, Zappa Tel Aviv on July 27 and Zappa Haifa on July 31.
