Israeli tourist killed in Thailand; said to hit his head jumping into waterfall
28-year-old man was vacationing with friends on the island of Koh Samui
An Israeli tourist was killed in Thailand after apparently hitting his head on a rock after jumping into a waterfall on the island of Koh Samui, Hebrew-language media reported Saturday.
The man, 28-year-old Radwan Sabihi from the village of Kafr Misr in northern Israel, died Friday while on a vacation with friends.
Sabihi reportedly jumped into the waterfall from a great height despite signs warning people not to do so, the Ynet news site said. He hit his head and attempts to resuscitate him failed.
Family members said they were informed of the accident by friends who were traveling with Sabihi.
