The Associated Press says in a statement that it has not seen any “indication Hamas was in the building or active in the building” where its Gaza bureau was located and destroyed earlier today by the IDF.

The wire agency calls on Israel to provide evidence justifying the leveling of the building.

The Israel Defense Forces says that besides being used by Hamas military intelligence, the terror group had other offices in the Al Jala building, as did Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

According to the IDF, Hamas military intelligence’s research and development unit operated out of the building and was responsible for numerous “acts of sabotage” against Israel, without elaborating. It also says the unit uses “the most valuable technology” in Hamas’s possession.

No evidence was provided beyond the claims.
