IDF says helicopter, drones to fly over central Israel in practice for Air Force handover ceremony

Two helicopters and several drones will conduct a practice flight over central Israel this morning.

The military says the training is for today’s handover ceremony for the chief of the Israeli Air Force.

At 6 p.m., a flyby of several aircraft will take place during the ceremony. IAF chief Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar is being replaced by Maj. Gen. Omer Tischler.

Yesterday, the army was criticized for not announcing training flights for the same ceremony ahead of time.
