US-mediated talks between Israel and Lebanon and Rome have ended several hours early.

Israeli Ambassador to the United States Yechiel Leiter is accusing the Lebanese delegation of repeatedly leaking false information to Lebanese media, an Israeli source tells The Times of Israel.

Because of the leaks, Leiter asked the US mediators to suspend today’s talks before their scheduled conclusion, the source says, while clarifying that talks are still slated to pick back up on Thursday.
