US President Donald Trump claims that the leaders of the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar asked him to hold off on attacking Iran for “two or three days” because “they think that they are getting very close to making a deal.”

Trump tells reporters at a White House event that he informed Israel before announcing his latest decision earlier Monday to delay an allegedly planned attack on Iran.

He calls it a positive development but adds that “we’ll have to see what happens.”
