Trump says Iran’s Kharg Island ‘totally demolished,’ but US may strike it again ‘just for fun’

US President Donald Trump says that the United States may carry out more strikes on Iran’s Kharg Island oil export hub, saying that while Tehran appears ready to make a deal to end the conflict, “the terms aren’t good enough yet.”
He says the US strikes had “totally demolished” most of Kharg Island, but tells NBC News that “we may hit it a few more times just for fun.”
The island, which lies about 30 kilometers (19 miles) off the Iranian mainland and 500 kilometers (300 miles) northwest of the Strait of Hormuz, is the export terminal for 90% of Iran’s oil shipments.
